Savatage – Summer’s Rain

Hey folks!

Today, I am with you with a blast from the past.

Jon Oliva and his brother Criss Oliva did us a great favour and formed Savatage (first under the name of Avatar) in late 70’s. More than a decade later, Criss passed away – actually killed by a drunk driver – and left us the crying, melancholic solo (along with many more) you will listen today.

Jon’s screams of anguish and Criss’s weeping guitars are like a glimpse into what’s to come for them.  Their… “complete” music, their brilliant sound – one of the most important sounds I hold very dear…

Let’s remember Criss and Jon’s brilliant vocals and bask in their awesomeness!

Enjoy!

I don’t listen to a lot of Savatage, but this is one emotionally charged song.
