POSSESSION, BLOOD, INSANITY AND A MUSIC VIDEO
Shant Hagopian is a very talented musician, whom we appreciate a lot here at Lady Obscure Music Magazine. Many of you would remember that he founded a progressive rock/metal project called Semantic Saturation which features world-class musicians and progressive rock icons such as drummer Virgil Donati (Steve Vai), bassist Ric Fierabracci (Planet X), with guests; keyboardist Derek Sherinian (ex. Dream Theater) and vocalist Andy Kuntz (Vanden Plas).
I had a very interesting chat with Shant last year and our lovely editor Rocio penned out a fantastic review of the band’s debut album Solipsistic and fascinated us all. The tasteful debut album is available in both CD and digital formats through the Semantic Saturation website.
The band now released a video for their third track Lost and Found: Insanity
“We are extremely excited to finally release our first music video on Thursday October 23, 2014 for the song Lost and Found: Insanity, about a year and a half after its original release! The video depicts the struggle of musicians within the confines of the often strict industry.”
On making the music video; director Richard Bastarache says “Making this video was both challenging and
rewarding. Everyone was amazing to work with and made my job much easier. I am very proud of how all our hard work, time, and stress paid off. Despite some problems during the shoot, the video was a lot of fun to make and it is something that the we can all feel proud to be a part of.”
I really liked the video and its close connection to the spirit of the music. Check it out!
Cheeers,
Lady
