I find myself coming back to some genres less and less each day, such as AOR, Power Metal, Hard’n Heavy .. well you got the picture.. It’s like I have heard every song I’m ever going to love in these styles. I occasionally listen to a track or two but hardly ever listen to albums in full length.
But since Cihan insisted that I hear Gus G’s latest effort, I put it on today and to my surprise I heard Dennis Ward’s (Pink Cream 69/Unisonic) voice which really caters to my taste. So this catchy opener caught my attention right away; love the vocals, love the melodies, love the simplicity of it.
Well Gus G is Gus G, he is really good… I had briefly seen him at Bloodstock’s backstage in 2013 when Kelly Sundown was touring with them as Firewind vocalist and was kind enough to invite me to the gig. So today I’m listening to GUS G’s latest release titled “Fearless”, the successor to 2015’s “Brand New Revolution” and the second album after exiting Ozzy Osbourne’s band in 2017. Thought I’d share it with you too.
For the second video, let us hear Kinslayer out…
New Single alert!!! American symphonic vampires Seven Spires have unleashed a new single of their second album “Emerald Seas”, out February 14th on Frontiers Music. This second single offers Adrienne Cowan’s trademark brutality by channeling her inner Shagrath while the band dwells in realms akin to the theatrical dark feeling of Cradle of Filth and Carach Angren.
